The 2010 African American Heritage Summit will be held on Saturday, February 27, at Daniels Elementary Academy from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Due to current and forecast weather conditions, Grand Prairie ISD will be closed on Friday, February 12.

The bad weather "make-up" day will be Monday, May 31, 2010.

Pursuant to Government Code ยง551.0411, the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees that was scheduled for February 11, 2010, has been postponed due to the snow storm.  The meeting will now be held on Saturday, February 13, at 8:00 a.m. in the board room of the GPISD Education Center.

All campus-related evening activities have also been canceled.

Due to current and forecast weather conditions, Grand Prairie ISD will delay the start of school on Friday, February 12, 2010, for two hours. All students should report to their schools two hours later than the normal start time.  GPISD staff will continue to assess weather conditions. Please tune in to local television and radio stations in the morning for any change to school start time. The district website will be updated in the event of any changes.

  • Buses will run on a hour two delay.
  • Staff should report to school 30 minutes prior to the arrival of students.
