July 20-26, 2010 a team of Cosmetology Students from Dubiski Cosmetology headed to Kansas City to compete for a National Title in SkillsUSA. The three girls on the team were Cindy Espinoza, Maritza Montanez, and Veronica Juarez who are all students from Grand Prairie High School.

Last year the girls came in 4th in the Nation and came home determined to take the Gold Metal this year. They worked all year on a leather bound OSHA Book which contained 4 separate projects on Safety and Sanitation.
These projects were designed to help fellow students, our schools, and the entire community lead healthier and safer lives.

Well, their hard work paid off!!!!!

GPISD WON FIRST PLACE IN THE ENTIRE NATION AND HAVE THE GOLD MEDALS TO PROVE IT!!!!!
