Mission Statement

The mission of the Grand Prairie ISD Social Studies and Foreign Language Programs is to facilitate the development of the individual students' abilities to utilize knowledge, skills, and critical thinking to make informed and intelligent decisions in real world situations.

The goals of the Social Studies and Foreign Language Programs are:

To improve student academic performance
To coordinate quality staff development sessions
To provide teachers with an advanced, relevant, and aligned curriculum
To provide students and teachers with the best instructional materials, supplies, and practices available
To foster a love of social studies, foreign language, and life-long learning in our students
To create responsible and informed citizens for the future of our country
