Curriculum activity:   Students will evaluate the reliability of sources by examining magazine and newspaper articles, documentaries and online sources. They will practice note-taking, learn to cite sources and create a bibliography, brainstorm a list of topics and choose a topic with several viable sources for their own research

Curriculum activity:   Students will use research on an unexplained phenomenon and creative writing skills to create an Expedition Journal which will document an imaginary “Search for…” After including evidence from their research, students must prove if the unexplained phenomenon they researched is true or a hoax
