The District’s Translator is housed in the C.E.C. building at 330 NE 27th Street, Grand Prairie. It is intended to help you to have both written and verbal access to our Hispanic population. We want to provide you with a quick and accurate translation service that will guarantee the understanding of a text and reproducing the meaning in Spanish or English, and to return your translation in the format you require.
Provide Learning Opportunities In The Student’s Native Language.
We are translating for teachers and Spanish-speaking students as much material, tools and information as possible in order to give them the same meaningful and enjoyable opportunities to learn. This alleviates the stress in our students in every age group and level while making the language transition and becoming fully bilingual.
Helping Parents To Be Involved
There are a number of things parents can do to help their children be better learners, year around, both in school and out of school. There is no more powerful teacher for children than the model provided by the important adults in their lives. When adults don’t value learning, children won’t either. That is why we value so much keeping our Spanish speaking families informed and encouraged to take part in their children’s activities.
