Library Media Services- TLA Branding Iron Award
The Texas Library Association began the new Texas Branding Iron Award program in 2007 to " recognize extraordinary public relations activities" in school and public libraries.
The Texas Branding Iron Award for Collateral Materials was presented April 13, 2007 to Grand Prairie ISD for "the wonderful materials, including key chains, wristbands, T-shirts, and reading pledge cards created for the ISD's successful Read Across the Prairie campaign. "
Grand Prairie Public Library also was awarded a Texas Branding Iron Award for the exhibit and related programming on Elizabeth I: Rule and Legend.
