My Role

As Instructional Technology Facilitator, my primary

role is to assist and support teachers in their use

of technology.

I provide training, model lessons, and collaborate

on lessons to use with students

In The Spotlight

Going the extra mile:

John Wilson, Teacher of the Year for Whitt Elementary,

is videotaping his lessons and putting them on the

student iPods. His students are able to listen to his

lesson as many times as needed.

Technology Tidbits

Instructional Technology has created a new website

to aid teachers in the use of technology integration

and CScope. Check it out on a regular basis to see

all of the new additions. You will probably want to

save it in Favorites!

Website of the Week: from Gina Morrison

Energy Quest at http://energyquest.ca.gov/index.html is a site from the state of California. There is a lot of information on various types of energy that would be appropriate to use with your students. Click on Energy Story and scroll down to get to the different chapters to view information on all of the different types of energy. Students can click on various items in the room to get to videos on energy, games, and links to more sites.

For PreK-2 students, check out Funschool at http://funschool.kaboose.com/index.html. There are lots of interactive games covering a variety of subjects. Preschool teachers can go directly to the Preschool games where you will find activities appropriate for your students.
