As Instructional Technology Facilitator, my primary role is to assist and support teachers in their use of technology. I provide training, model lessons, and collaborate on lessons to use with students

  In The Spotlight

Crystal Chavez has created a podcast that reviews the earth and the moon for her 5th. grade students.

Jessica Godby is creating quizzes for the iPod using iQuiz maker.  The students enjoy studying using their iPods.

  Technology Tidbits

Instructional Technology has created a new website to aid teachers in the use of technology integration and CScope. Check it out on a regular basis to see all of the new additions. You will probably want to save it in Favorites!

Website of the Week: from Gina Morrison

This first site is for primary teachers.  This page on

Awesome Animals has links to dozens of sites all

bout animals.  Some sites feature coloring pages,

others have great pictures of animals.  You'll find

sites for farm animals, ocean animals, zoo animals,

and dinosaurs.  This will be a great page to

bookmark for future reference. http://www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/

Tower/1217/animal1.html   The next site is mainly for upper grades,

from our friends at PBS Kids, the site is News

Flash 5 at http://pbskids.org/newsflashfive/  This

animated news program is a great way to bring

current events to your students in a way that they

will interest them.  The stories change weekly and

new editions are presented on Wednesdays.

There are sections for parents and teachers,

and a place where students can submit their

own news stories.
