Map Adventure

Curriculum activity:   Students continue their study of maps. In this lesson, students practice locating places using the four cardinal directions. They come to understand that a map is usually a flat, 2-dimensional representation of a 3-dimensional place on earth. The culminating activity is to create a map of the playground and explain their learning using geographic terms.
