Grade 2 - 1st Six Weeks
Below are ideas for technology integration that support the 1st six weeks grading period in Grade 2. Contact your Technology Facilitator for assistance.

| Lesson 1 | Patterns Help Us Learn | |
| Curriculum activity: | Pattern Hunt: Assign each student a partner. Ask each pair to move around the room for 15-20 minutes and look for patterns. Tell them to write something about each pattern they see in their journals. They can draw a picture of the pattern if they want to. |

| Technology idea: | Digital Camera, MS Word or MS Publisher | |
| Students can use the digital camera to take photos of patterns around the room. The photos could be inserted into MS Word or Publisher. Then, students would write about the patterns to fulfill the required activity. | ||

| Curriculum activity: | Using apple slices and a dehydrator, students can observe changes in size, color and mass of the apple slices before and after dehydration. Observe objects (or pictures of objects) and explain orally or in writing the changes that have occurred, including changes in size, mass. |

| Students use the digital camera to take photos of the apple slices to record the changes. Then, the photos could be inserted into MS Power Point or MS Publisher. Students would use one of the MS Office applications to write about the changes that occured, such as size and mass. | ||
