Below are ideas for technology integration that support the 1st six weeks grading period in Grade 3. Contact your Technology Facilitator for assistance.

Technology idea 1   Create a Three-Fold Pamphlet
   

Using edClass activBook e68, students will Create a three-fold pamphlet incorporating Word-Art and pictures.

*There is a template embedded in this lesson that your students can use if you do not wish to complete all the steps of this lesson.

Technology idea 2   Use Microsoft Publisher to create a Tri-Fold brochure. Use Publication Wizard, choose a template to edit. Type the paragraph in Word.

Curriculum activity:   Students will have prior experience constructing bar graphs (2.11A), drawing conclusions, and answering questions based on bar graphs (2.11B). This lesson will build on that prior knowledge by applying comparing/ordering of whole numbers, estimation, and two-digit addition/subtraction strategies to interpret data.

Curriculum activity:   Students will have prior knowledge of identifying, describing, and extending repeating and additive patterns to make predictions and solve problems (2.6C). This lesson will apply that prior knowledge to additive patterns with two-digit numbers, reinforce student’s knowledge of adding/subtracting two-digit numbers, and apply this concepts to real world problems.
