Instructional Technology
| My Role | ||
| As Instructional Technology Facilitator, my primary role is to assist and support teachers in their use of technology so that they may prepare their students for the 21st century learning skills that will be necessary as they move through school, and eventually into the work force. I provide training, model lessons, and collaborate on lessons to use with students. | ||

Ms. Kirkley's 4th grade students buddy up with Ms. Canright's Kindergarten students in the computer lab on a regular basis. The 4th graders are doing a great job of sharing their "tech" knowledge with the kinder kids. | |

Technology Tidbits is my monthly newsletter. Click on the link to read the November issue for information about an important skill which we tend to overlook - keyboarding. You'll also find links to sites on Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving. |

For some interactive math games, check out these sites: Count Us In - A good site for basic skills for primary grade students. Kids' Math Games - More interactive games and online worksheets for math concepts. This site is good for all grade levels. Remember, these interactive sites can be great for reinforcing skills, but they should never make up the bulk of a visit to the computer lab. 10-15 minutes on one of these in addition to a teacher-led lesson is really the way to go. |
