Young Men's Leadership Academy

at Kennedy Middle School

The Young Men's Leadership Academy at Kennedy Middle School serves sixth through eighth grade students in an all-male setting. We are a School of Choice offered by the Grand Prairie ISD beginning with the 2012 - 2013 school year. Our focus is on developing future male leaders who are college ready and college bound. 

The YMLA features an advisory period devoted to leadership topics, leadership opportunities, a Pre-AP / college readiness focus, advanced technology, extracurricular clubs and events, and a campus dress code.

Our Vision

The Young Men's Leadership Academy will offer 6th-8th grade boys a dynamic learning experience that encourages critical thinking, inspires confidence and nurtures the intellectual and social development necessary for success in college, career and life. Rigorous coursework, field-based exploration and personalized counseling help students transition from middle school to high school and to higher education and beyond.
