  • Our History

In 1973, Sam Rayburn Elementary was opened.  M. Browning Combs was the Superintendent.  The building was an open concept school with few interior walls.  Class space was later  enclosed during renovations.  In 1998, the building had a classroom addition built.  This was a result of the 1995 bond election.  Joe Tison was the Interim Superintendent.  Another addition and remodeling occurred in 2009.
