Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Nyereyemhuka has been with Grand Prairie ISD for about 12 years. She worked as a special education teacher for her first five years with the district before taking a position as a counselor.
Mrs. Nyereyemhuka graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree. While at UTA, she danced with the UTA Dance Ensemble, performing mostly Modern and Jazz pieces. She went on to receive her Master of Arts in School & Professional Counseling degree from Amberton University.
Mrs. Nyereyemhuka is married with two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family nationally and internationally, spending time with her extended family, and trying different foods.
One of Mrs. Nyereyemhuka’s goals for this year is to be an “Agent of Change” in a positive direction for the students. She says in good or bad times, she believes each student has what it takes to be the best that they can be with helpful encouragement and support.
