The National Junior Honor Society is comprised of students who applied to become members. All active members must maintain an overall average of 85 or higher in all their classes, they must complete community service hours both individually and as a group, and they must demonstrate the four pillars of success for which NJHS is known - leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and service.
In May, the NJHS students decided to honor the staff at Fannin by throwing a Teacher Appreciation Dinner. They decorated the library with candles and stars to create a celebratory atmosphere, and each member brought something fabulous to eat. We had foods ranging from homemade enchiladas, ceviche, and cheesecake.
