Community Liaison
 
Community Liaisons are special staff members who work in your child's school. They help you get information and assistance you need to support your child's academic success.
 
How  Do Community Liaisons Help Parents?
 
Parent/Community Liaisons provide services such as the following to assist you and your child:

·         Arrangements to interpret or translate at parent teacher conferences or school meetings 

·         Encourage, promote, and coordinate parent volunteers

·         Parent Workshops regarding your child’s education including academics, life challenges, parental involvement, and much more

·         Assistance working with "high risk" Title I students and their families as needed

·         Work cooperatively with Title I campus principals, counselors and teachers

·         Available to speak at PTA meetings and faculty meetings upon request

·         Assist in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials relating to parental involvement

·         Serve as official liaison person for Title I parents and teachers

·         Assistance in identifying possible funding sources for parental involvement activities
