I am sure all of you are extremely proud of your children and all their teachers. For the first time in Garcia’s history, our students have earned a Recognized Rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2008-2009 school year.

Our staff continues their quest to build a strong, positive relationship with all our students and parents. Each of our staff members are dedicated to helping each student meet his/her academic and behavior goals, in order for them to attend the university of their choice.

We look forward to working in partnership with our parents and community to help our student fulfill their dream of attending the university of their choice. We invite you to work alongside our staff as mentors to our students. We want to ensure all our students’ success.

Twenty years ago I began my career with GPISD. I have earned several certifications in that time: Principal, Gifted and Talented, Spanish Teacher, Bilingual and ESL. Also, I have earned two masters degrees; Master’s of Fine Arts from S.M.U. and Masters of Education from Texas A&M-Commerce. As a strong advocate of life-long learning, I look forward to earning a Doctoral Degree in Education in the coming years.
