The PBS program is tailored to fit any school. Hobbs Williams is excited to have the opportunity to implement this data driven, research based, behavior program through Region 10 ESC. The program focuses on maintaining a safe, civil and productive environment. It relies on EVERY staff person for its success. The cool thing about it? It focuses on the POSITIVE!
During our first year, 2008-2009, Hobbs Williams focused on 3 common areas. These areas included the hallways, the cafeteria and dismissal. During the 2009-2010, not only were we focusing on the three common areas, but also the classrooms as well! During the 2010-2011, we welcomed LOTS of students from area schools with the new 5th grade center opening and the new facility at Bonham. PBS began the year with a focus again on the 3 common areas and then an emphasis on the classroom the 2nd semester. This school year as well as in the future we will continue that trend by focusing on the three common areas as well as the classroom. We feel PBS has had a strong impact on our students and that it is a positive and effective way to handle behavior. The kids love earning Paw Pride tickets!  If you have not attended one of our Paw Pride Rallies I invite you to do so!  We have them every Monday morning right after the 8:10am bell in the gym.  We hope to see you there!
