One evening an old Cherokee man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside him, inside everyone.
He said, "My son, we all have two wolves fighting in our hearts. One is Good. It is love, hope, truth, empathy, kindness,
generosity, trust and compassion. The other is Bad. It is anger, envy, jealousy, greed, self-pity, lies, false pride and arrogance.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf will win the battle?” The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
