Welcome to First Grade

Dear parents,

We hope you’ve had a wonderful year so far. We look forward to being great partners in helping your child have a very successful year.

Things to know:

Homework: Please check the homework folder nightly.

Reading Log: Your signature or initials will be needed on your child’s reading log EVERYDAY in order for them to get recognition for their efforts.

Communication:We will communicate often in order to discuss your child’s progress through phone, in person, email or letters placed in take-home folders. You may schedule a meeting at any time.

Grades: Your child will be graded on a point system this year.

Excellent = 90-100
Satisfactory = 80-89
Fair = 70-79
Failing/Unsatisfactory = 69 or below

Dismissal:

School is dismissed at 3:20pm.
1^st grade releases at the back of the school by the green playground.
Please be sure to write a letter if there are any changes on how your child gets picked up from school.
After 3:35, your child will be walked to the front and you can be pick them up by the front office.

Lunch is from 11:00-11:30. Please sign in at the office before you enter any other part of the building.

Student lunch $2.05/Adult lunch $3.00

Breakfast is served in the classroom from 7:55-8:10 only. Please try to be on time in order for your child to have enough time to eat.
