Welcome to Third Grade
Dear Parents, Family and Friends, We want to welcome you and your child to our Third Grade Classroom! We know it will be a great year, and we are very excited about working with your child and family. This letter is to inform you of some of the things that will be happening in our classroom this year. In order to provide our students with the excellent educational climate they deserve, we have developed the following Classroom Discipline Plan that will be in effect at all times. We feel these rules are very important to help your child be the best third grader they can be. Rules: Follow all directions.Keep hands, feet and objects to self. Be prepared for class. Stay on task. Be respectful at all times. Consequences: ****Great day— purple face in planner***** Student given a warning (name on the board) green face in folder Check mark by name blue face in folder 2nd check mark by name yellow face in folder 3rd check mark by name, contact parents red face in folder Office referral red face in folder. Read to Principal or Assistant Principal It is in your child’s best interest that we work together with regard to his/her education. We will keep you informed of their progress in class. Your child will have a homework folder as well as their district wide planner. They will have a homework assignment every Monday-Thursday based on what we have been learning about in class. They will also need to read at least 20 minutes every night, and record that information on their reading log. Please make every effort check the folder and planner everyday and sign it. Your child’s behavior will be recorded in the folder, as well as other school news. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school and leave us a message or write a note in your child’s folder.
