The purpose of the Austin Elementary  Chess Club is to provide a forum in which all skill level Chess players from 3rd to 5th grade can exercise their talents and develop into Chess players of excellent caliber and character and to promote the study and knowledge of Chess; not only for fun and enjoyment, but also as a tool to become problem solvers.
