What is choir?

Choir is a performing arts course in which students learn to sing as an ensemble.  Using the Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS) as a guide, our curriculm covers 4 broad areas:

• Perception
• Creative Expression/Performance
• Historical/Culture Heritage
• Response/Evaluation

Within these 4 areas, students learn everything from reading and writing music, proper vocal production, ensemble and solo singing, the role music plays in our lives and much, much more!
