Tzu Chi Scholars are selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. This is a nationwide program and each scholar will be awarded a total of $1,000
The Helen Pearson Scholarship is an award presented annually to an outstanding individual involved in, or wishing to pursue study in the field of perinatal health care. A $1,500 award is to commemorate volunteer efforts and more than forty years service to both March of Dimes and Epsilon Sigma Alpha by Helen Pearson.
The Garner Fine Arts Academy PTA will award an academic scholarship in the amount of $500. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria at a minimum:
· Senior (12th Grade) at a Grand Prairie ISD high school with an anticipated graduation date of May 2014
· Attended Garner all 5 years (1st-5th grades)
· Minimum GPA of 3.5
Dickinson Elementary PTA would like to offer a $500 scholarship for 1 graduating Senior that has attended Dickinson Elementary for a minimum of 1 year. The application has the criteria and deadline listed as well as asks the student to briefly explain why they want or need the scholarship.
Grand Prairie ISD Education Foundation
•GPISD graduating senior intending to attend a college/university or for accredited trade/technical school.
•GPA of 2.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale.
•Demonstrated potential for advanced education and seeking an academic degree.
•Have an economic need.
•Have involvement in extracurricular school activities.

3. If applicant’s application is selected as a finalist, applicant will be contacted for a personal interview. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 3:30 – 6:00 at the Grand Prairie ISD Administration Office, 2602 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
