Summer Camp for Fine Arts Academy Students

 Dear Fine Arts Family:

 Summer camp is quickly approaching and we are thrilled to see all our students again. Below you will find a schedule for summer camp as well as dress up themes for each day. All academy students must attend summer camp. If you have a conflict, please contact your appropriate director. 

 Please be sure to pack a sack lunch for your student for all days of summer camp. 

 We will be traveling to Dallas Wednesday and Thursday during camp to tour the AT&T Center, Nasher Sculpture Museum and the Dallas Museum of Art. Please refer to the schedule to see when your student will be going and fill out the field trip permission slip attached. Return your signed permission slip at check-in Monday Aug. 13that camp.

 Friday Aug. 17, we will be hosting a parent mixer from 4:00 to 5:30. Please come in and have some dessert, talk with your directors and meet each other. 6thgrade students are encouraged to bring a dessert item for this day. 7thgraders are encouraged to bring lemonade and 8thgraders are encouraged to bring fresh watermelon. We look forward to mingling with all of you.

GPISD will also be providing transportation to and from Reagan Middle School to your local “home” middle school campuses at the Adams, Fannin, Arnold, Kennedy, Jackson and Truman locations. A bus will pick up from these middle schools at 8:15 AM and return at 4:30 PM. Transportation will not be provided on Friday after camp to return to home campuses. Please pick up your student at Reagan Middle School at 4:00 and join us for our parent mixer!

In other news, we are proud to announce our new principal Mr. Christopher Bayer who has joined our team and will be available to meet during camp. Read his note below:

What an exciting time for all the students and parents who will be a part of the Fine Arts Academy at Reagan Middle School.  I look forward to meeting each of you.  With the all-star staff that has been assembled to direct this program, it will be an awesome year!  I hope each of you have had a super summer.  Have a great time at the fine arts summer camp.
