23 Grand Prairie ISD schools received a total of 78 distinctions for the 2015-2016 school year.
Last week, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced that 23 Grand Prairie ISD schools received a total of 78 distinctions for the 2015-2016 school year. The state awards distinctions for achievement in multiple areas. Distinction designations are presented to campuses based on achievement on performance indicators compared to a group of 40 campuses of similar type, size and student demographics.
The 23 Grand Prairie ISD campuses that received distinction designations include Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, South Grand Prairie High School, Dubiski Career High School, Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute, Adams Middle School, Jackson Middle School, Truman Middle School, Reagan Middle School, Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Young Men’s Leadership Academy, Austin Elementary, Bowie Elementary, Florence Hill Elementary, Eisenhower Elementary, De Zavala Environmental Science Academy, Dickinson Elementary, Garner Fine Arts Academy, Powell Elementary, Garcia Elementary, Whitt Fine Arts Academy, Marshall Leadership Academy, Williams Elementary and School for the Highly Gifted.
