Middle School Visual Artist Students Win Stock Show Competition
2017 will mark the 121st year of the Fort Worth Stock Show, which is the largest and oldest stock show in the nation. The art competition has been going on for the last 10 years and features student artists from all over the state.
The class competition brings classrooms from all over Texas competing for the honor of Grand Champion Class Division. We are so proud of our students who have, for the second year in a row, brought home the FWSSR Grand Champion Award, along with a check for $1000! These student artworks, along with the winning individual's submission will be on special exhibition on the concourse of the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall throughout the duration of the Stock Show, which is January 13 through February 4.
The names of these awardees are: Bryce Chambers, Kieren Yates, Joshua Tollin, Daniel Martinez, Kevin Salazar, Abigail Mata, Sydney Merlau, Lily Kent, Alexa Sayer, and Peter McElroy.
