Mrs. Jill Davis

Jill Davis is currently serving her 4th year as an Assistant Principal at Jackson Middle School. Jill holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology also from Lamar University where she attended on a full basketball scholarship. Jill started her career coaching collegiate basketball at Lamar University, Texas Woman’s University and the University of Texas-Pan American. In 2009, she shifted to coaching and teaching in GPISD where she served as Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach and Women’s Athletic Director, successfully securing college scholarships for nearly a dozen athletes.

In her current role as Assistant Principal, Jill has been selected to represent GPISD and Jackson Middle School in The Holdsworth Center’s first leadership cohort. The Holdsworth Center selected seven districts to participate in a two year long program that focuses on extensive leadership development through immersive experiences. Jill is honored to be part of the team representing Jackson!

Jill is a native Texan, married with two children and is an active foster parent. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, and watching sports. She is currently in her 20th year as an educator.

Mr. Jason Richmond

Jason Richmond is a native of Flint, MI who received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2006 and his Master’s in Educational Administration from Concordia University of Texas in 2018. Mr. Richmond is grateful for the opportunity to be an advocate for every student’s success at Jackson Middle School. By building positive relationships with students, parents, guardians, and staff Mr. Richmond is looking forward to an awesome academic year.

Mr. Matthew Swope

Mr. Swope began his teaching career in 2003 and taught high school science for a decade. Mr. Swope has taught in Red Oak, Everman, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie Independent School Districts. During that time he also served as a TAP Master Teacher and Environmental Science Coordinator. This is his 8th year as an administrator in GPISD. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from UTA and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
