Mission Statement

The Grand Prairie ISD Instructional Media program provides lifelong learning skills for 21st century learners. The program ensures that all staff and students are empowered with information literacy and emerging technologies through collaborative lessons designed with Instructional Media staff. The love of reading and literacy is fostered by providing access to both print and electronic resources.

Goals of the De Zavala ESA Instructional Media Program:

• Empower students and teachers to be effective users of information and technologies, while instilling the love of reading and literacy
• Work with grade level teachers and Instructional Coaches to infuse library resources and technology into grade level content as determined by the TEKS
• Foster the love of reading and literacy by providing students access to print and digital resources
• Encourage students and staff to be effective digital citizens in the ever changing and growing world of technology
