Mission Statement

The Grand Prairie ISD Instructional Media program provides lifelong learning skills for 21st century learners. The program ensures that all staff and students are empowered with information literacy and emerging technologies through collaborative lessons designed with Instructional Media staff. The love of reading and literacy is fostered by providing access to both print and electronic resources.

Thank you for visiting the Library/Instructional Media page. My name is Yancy Standridge, and I am serving as the Instructional Media Specialist at Florence Hill this year.

As Instructional Media Specialist, my primary role is to assist and support teachers in their use of technology and to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

The goal of the Florence Hill school library media center is to ensure that all members of the school community have equitable access to books and reading, to information, and to information technology.
