Rickeshea Todd is an experienced educator with a heart for children. She counts it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve students, parents, teachers and community as one of the school counselors of Lee and Uplift Lee. Her goal as a school counselor is to help all students with issues that may be affecting their academics, career, and personal/social interactions.

When she is not at school she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, creating new things, and traveling.

Welcome to another great school year! My name is Marisela Durán and I am excited to serve a second year at Lee Elementary and Uplift Lee. As a school counselor I provide instruction and services that focus on academic, career, and personal/social domains. Additionally, my goal is to support our students and families through collaboration and consultation with parents, teachers, school administrators, amongst others as well as provide a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to assisting guide your student in the preparation for their future.

 

Lee Counselors

  • As school counselors, we perform the following to promote growth:

    • Individual / small group counseling on a short-term basis
    • Classroom guidance each month
    • Collaborate with students, parents and school staff to identify needs and enhance student success in academics, career, and personal/social development
    • Respond to and provide support during personal/ school crises or emergency situations
    • Provide information and resources to parents on a variety of issues
    • Assist students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities
    • Help students to recognize and make the best of their abilities
    • Develop student career awareness. The district is implementing a new online career program, Career Cruising, for students in PK-12th to use. We are here to support them from Cradle to Career.
    • Help to create a safe and positive learning experience
