It is our mission at GPFAA to facilitate the technical and creative development of our performing artists and to prepare each for post-secondary studies and professional pathways. Our curriculum strongly focuses on, however not limited to, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary exploration, and aerial silks. We strive to provide our students with a variety of opportunities to foster well-roundedness through performance opportunities, exposure to multi-genre guest artists, viewing live performances, as well as, visiting postgraduate campuses. Spring semesters are dedicated to individual growth, auditions, and evaluations from dance professionals in our community.
For our audition process each dancer will be required to provide the following:
GPFAA Dance takes a holistic approach to selecting new students. We celebrate differences and believe each student can bring value to the program. We understand that a candidate may be stronger in one style of dance than another. Work ethic, positive attitude, authenticity, and willingness to try new things can possibly outweigh the technical level of the dancer, especially at the middle school level.Best of Luck! - Electronically submit a recording of an artistic solo dance.
- Electronically submit an interview video.
- Participate in an In-Person Masterclass on Saturday, December 11, 2021 for GPISD in-district applicants.
- Bring a professional dance resume and headshot to your In-Person Masterclass.
