    Translation Policies

    Requests for translations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. 

    Every request will be responded to by our staff via email.

    To provide the best quality service, adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Allow 2 working days for 1–3-page documents
    • Allow 5 working days for a 5-page documents
    • Allow 4 weeks for manuals, handbooks and assessments

    When submitting documents, please adhere to the following:

    • No PDFs. Documents must be submitted in an editable format (preferably Microsoft Word).
    • Original documents only. (Copyrighted or third-party material will not be translated).

    Interpretations

    Spoken interpretation from English to Spanish between two people, or from one person to a group of people.

    Interpretation Policies

    Requests for Simultaneous and/or Consecutive Interpretations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.   Every request will be confirmed by our staff via email.

    To provide the best quality service, adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Submit request 5 working days prior to the event / meeting

    How to Request a Translation or Interpretation

    Translation and Interpretation services are provided through federal funding, for that reason, each service must be documented by means of a formal request.

    To comply with federal guidelines, please submit a request form and provide all the information requested.

    ONLY requests submitted using the form below will be completed.

    Requests emailed directly to the translators will not be processed.

    The Executive Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs will review requests that do not conform to the guidelines stated above. 

    The Executive Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs reserves the right to determine the priority status of all requests received.
