Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications

  • Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications

The past few school years, a federal waiver and funding allowed Grand Prairie ISD to provide free meals for all students. This waiver recently expired, and the District will no longer be able to offer free meals for all. Beginning this school year, students not participating in the free and reduced meal program will be required to begin paying for meals again.

If you believe your family may qualify for free or reduced meals, we encourage you to fill out an application as soon as possible. Applications are available in English and Spanish.

If you received notification on July 27, 2022 letting you know you are directly certified, please do not fill out an application or check status here.

Completing the application provides a variety of benefits:

    • Additional funding for your campus
    • Reduced or waived fees for academic testing such as the ACT or SAT
    • Reduced or waived fees for college applications
    • Continued benefits through the first 30 days of the next school year
