Miss Harrison
Hello! My name is Arnitrice Harrison and I am an Assistant Principal at Crosswinds Accelerated High School. CAHS is one of the first Schools of Choice in the Grand Prairie School District! We specialize in meeting high school students where they are academically and guiding them to the path of graduation! It is always exciting to walk into a school and feel the positive energy it takes to motivate success for all students!
I am a Grand Prairie native and I have been blessed to have a career in the same school district where I had my same educational experience. I have a Broadcast Journalism degree from Florida A&M University. I obtained my Master in Education through Concordia University. I am currently working on my terminal degree online at Walden University. I began my educational career as a substitute teacher which sparked my interest in education. I now have an ELA certification in grades 4-8, I have an ESL certification which has added to my teaching toold box to reach more students. After teaching for 9 years I decided to venture into Administration and I now hold a certification for Principal grades K-12. My passion for teaching has guided me to explore options on how to reach an entire campus.
This is my third year in Adminsitrationa and I am proud to serve under Dr. Meyer our current prinicpal and leader here at Crosswinds. I am also blessed to be back with my boys which whom I taught at Young Men's Leadership Academy as a 6 grade teacher! Well, enough about me let's talk about you. If you ever need any assiatcne with information regarding our campus or program please feel free to contact myself, Mrs. Green or Ms. Tesmer for any request. We work as a team and we work for one goal which is Student Achievement!

My "WHY": No matter what the chronological age of a child, they need adults to show them caring, nurturing, leadership skills, confidence, perserverance, and respect. The kind words you express to them may be the only ones they hear all day. No matter what their story or background, they are still children which deserve to be just that. Kids grow up fast these days, wwhy not let them be chidlren when they are young? They'll have plenty of time to "adult" in the real world. Actually, sometimes overrated!
