TEA Designated T-STEM Academies:
T-STEM academies are rigorous secondary schools focusing on improving instruction and academic performance in science and mathematics-related subjects, with a goal of increasing the number of students who study and enter STEM careers. Designated T-STEM campuses serve students in grades 6-12 or 9-12. Grand Prairie ISD is proud to have two TEA Designated T-STEM Academies.

Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute is a premiere school of choice that focuses on accelerated instruction with pre-advanced placement, advanced placement, and dual credit courses to prepare students for post-secondary education. We are a designated Texas-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics campus that promotes engineering, aerospace, and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) curriculum.

Young Women’s Leadership Academy offers 6th-12th grade girls a dynamic learning experience that encourages critical thinking, inspires confidence, and nurtures the intellectual and social development necessary for success in college, career, and life. Rigorous coursework, field-based exploration, personalized counseling, and a strong sisterhood all work together to help students transition from middle school to high school, then to higher education and beyond.
