Welcome to Hobbs Williams Elementary. I am beyond excited to work with your students as the school counselor! As your counselor, I strive to provide services to ALL students through the use of engaging Social Emotional Learning lessons, genuine individual counseling, expressive small group sessions, and a variety of community resources. My goal is to be a part of the 5-member team which includes administrators, teachers, parents, students, and myself, the counselor in order for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I attended Texas Woman’s University where I attained both my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary studies and my master’s degree in Counseling and Development. I have worked as an educator for over 10 years and I love it! I consider myself a lifelong learner. I am married and have two children, one boy and one girl.
I describe myself as being calm, genuine, and trustworthy which are essential characteristics for a school counselor. I pride myself in being a liaison between students and adults; advocating for student for needs. Using solution-focused strategies and individual interventions will allow my work with students to flourish.
I am looking forward to serving students and families here at Hobbs Williams Elementary!
