My name is Ms. Horne and I am honored to be your school counselor! I am originally from LA. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University and then pursued my master’s degree at Prairie View A & M University. I have been in education for 18 years and have a passion for helping children recognize their full potential. My duty is to serve GPISD students, their families, and my community. Is to partner with staff, students, parents, guardians, and community stakeholders to provide a comprehensive developmental program for students in Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The goal is to reduce barriers and provide equitable access so that students can grow in their academics, social-emotional, and career exploration/development.

 

Is to work in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure that all students are provided a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment, ultimately becoming responsible citizens who are college and career-ready to contribute positively to an ever-changing society while striving to reach their greatest potential.
