Master's Degree in Educational Administration | University of North Texas
Dear Austin family,
My name is Sandra Mejia and I am the Assistant Principal at Austin Environmental Science Academy. I am looking forward to a successful and exciting school year!
At Austin, we take pride to engage, challenge and create student leaders that will excel in school and our community at large. Our goal is to provide a strong instructional focus that maximizes student learning and student achievement.
This is my 10th year serving in Grand Prairie ISD. After graduating from the University of North Texas, I began my teaching career at Barbara Bush Elementary as a Dual Language Lead teacher. I have written curriculum and presented workshops for the Texas Association of Bilingual Educators. I had the privilege to participate in the Ron Clark Academy, which has received both national and international recognition for its success in educating students with academic rigor, passion, and creativity balanced by a strict code of discipline.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas and became an Instructional Coach where I served at Garcia Elementary. In 2015, I joined Austin Environmental Science Academy as your Assistant Principal.
I am proud to serve you and looking forward to working with you. Do not hesitate to call if you have any questions.
