Student Support Social Worker, Social Work Hub Lead
Blanca McGee, LCSW. Mrs. received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida in 2003. She has been a school social worker within Grand Prairie ISD since 2010. In 2016, during the Silver Anniversary of the Texas School Social Worker conference she was nominated for School Social Worker of the year for the state of Texas and was a finalist/honorable mention. She also received The President's Volunteer Gold Service Award with a special service commitment to education, issued by President Barak Obama. Mrs. McGee has passionately advocated for legislation to have School Social Work services be defined by the Texas Education Agency. Mrs. McGee is a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers since 2013 and serves as the Texas State Chair for the Nominations, Leadership and Identification Committee. She is also a member of the School Social Work Association of America. From 2013 to 2015 she served as a member of the Board of Directors for the School Social Work Association of Texas.

Elizabeth Hummert, LCSW

Student Mental Health and Safety Advisor
Elizabeth Hummert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Supervisor. She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004 and a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in 2002. She currently serves as the Student Mental Health and Safety Advisor for the district.  Since 2004, Mrs. Hummert has served as a social worker in settings including victim services, law enforcement, and education.  She has worked with Grand Prairie ISD since 2018.  She is a member in good standing of the National Association of Social  Workers.
