All Pro Dad Chapters provide an opportunity for dads to spend quality time with their children that will strengthen their relationship. Launched in 1997 with the help of Coach Tony Dungy, All Pro Dad asks 3 things of fathers and/or father figures: one minute a day, one hour a month and one day a year. GPISD launched All Pro Dad in the 2016-2017 school year as a pilot program. If you are interested in starting a chapter at your campus, please reach out to your school principal or our Director of Family & Community Engagement, Maria Herrera: maria.herrera@gpisd.org.

APD Activities
One minute a day: Play of the Day
The Play of the Day is a daily fatherhood email and our fathers/father figures are able to sign up to receive this free daily email. Fathers and father figures sign up via text to receive a tip every day.
Text “APD” to 44144 to sign up for the Play of the Day.One hour a month: Food and Fun
Food and fun in the cafeteria is a time for dads and kids to share. Fathers and father figures meet once a month with other dads and their kids, engage in conversation, and strengthen their relationship. Not only do you connect with your child(ren), but you will also connect with other fathers and father figures and kids from the school. Meetings are typically held between 7:30am-8:00am and an All Pro Dad team captain facilitates the meeting.
One day a year: Super Cereal Bowl Breakfast
Super Cereal Bowl Breakfast is in April. Families bring their own box of cereal and program will provide water, juice, milk, soups, bowls, cups, napkins and spoons donated by SFE. Different stations will be set up giving dad's and their kids an opportunity to have some fun and spend some quality time together.
