What campuses will offer a Pre-K program?
Full Day Pre-K (Free or Tuition-Based) Campus Availability: As of the 2023-2024 School year, Pre-K 4 will be offered at all elementary and early education campuses.

Will transportation be provided?
Transportation will be available for Grand Prairie ISD students attending full day programs at Bonham Early Education School and Crockett Early Education School. Out of district students are not eligible for transportation. Buses will have a driver and a bus monitor. Students must have a parent or other adult available to meet the bus with identification.

Where can I complete the registration process for Pre-K?
The registration link will be available on our pre-k webpage: https://www.gpisd.org/PreK beginning April 1. If you don't have access to the Internet, please go to the closest elementary campus for assistance.

Can out of district students attend Pre-K in Grand Prairie?
Yes. Priority will be given to GPISD students, and then out of district students will be considered for placement pending space availability. Bus transportation is not provided for out of district students.

What does it mean to be educationally disadvantaged?
Those persons placed at special risk by socioeconomic and educational background. Educationally disadvantaged persons include those persons who struggle to provide necessities for themselves and their families. (Eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program.)

What if I don't meet the criteria for the district's free qualifying program?
Each campus has a tuition-based program if your child does not meet the eligibility for the free program.

How much is Pre-K 4 tuition?
The Commissioner of Education determines Pre-K tuition. At this time, tuition is set at $4950 per year which is paid in 10 monthly payments of $495 each. A $55 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of enrollment. This deposit will hold a seat in the tuition programs. $50 of the deposit is applied to the first month's tuition. We expect next year's tuition will be approximately the same amount.

Will Dual Language be offered at Pre-K campuses?
Yes. Moseley Elementary and Travis World Language Academy will offer a Two-Way Dual Language for both English dominant and limited English students. All other campuses will offer a One-Way Dual Language for students who are limited English proficient except for Florence Hill, Garner, Powell, Whitt, and Williams.

When will school assignments be determined?
Parents will be notified no later than June 1, 2023.

What if there isn't room at my home campus for my child?
The district will offer all GPISD students a spot at one of the Pre-K campuses. Out of district students will be considered for placement pending space availability.
