The Bowie Music Department features a well-rounded approach to current and traditional musical practices. Using curriculum based on the ideals of Zoltán Kodály and Carly Orff, students at Bowie have opportunities to sing, play instruments, dance, perform for their parents and peers, and even compose music using the latest technology. The Bowie Choir, now in its fourth year, performs regularly both at school and throughout the community. The Bowie Multimedia Club gives students the opportunity to create music in a digital audio workstation (DAW) that is later combined with videos and photographs to promote events around Bowie Fine Arts Academy.
