In 2019, the GPFAA production of Bullets Over Broadway garnered 13 Dallas Summer Musical nominations.

Broadway Backwards, May 2019
GPFAA Thespian Troupe 8227 will host its first Cabaret for a Cause: Broadway Backwards on May 3rd at 7:00 pm. Mirrored after "Miscast Monday" in New York City, Performers have the opportunity to perform song selections intended for the opposite gender.
We hope you can make it out to this exciting event for an even more exciting cause: Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids.

2019 LA Trip
GPFAA Seniors and Juniors left on February 7, 2019 for Los Angeles California for a five-day jam-packed
weekend of masterclasses, college auditions, workshops, a canyon hike, and even a fun trip to Universal Studios.

2018 Texas Thespian Festival
Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy Thespian Troupe 8227 had an eventful week at the 2018 Texas Thespian Festival.
Over 8000 students were in attendance at the Gaylord Texan November 15-17, 2018.
GPFAA received the following honors:
- Performed The Dining Room by A.R. Gurney as part of the festival Play Marathon Series
- One of 6 schools named as a Finalist for Super Troupe of Texas 2018
- Joryhebel Ginorio and Bailey James were selected for the ALL-STATE Cast and performed with Broadway star Annaleigh Ashford during the closing ceremonies
- Zoey Kaps was awarded Best Supporting Actress in a Play Marathon
- Bailey James and Kristina Lenkowsky received a Thespian Scholarship Award to the college of their choice
- 8 seniors received over 150 college callbacks
- 32 of 35 students received Excellent ratings and qualified for the International Thespian Festival in June, 2019
- 1 Middle School student also qualified for the International Thespian Festival in June, 2019 after attending the Texas Thespians Junior Festival

GPFAA Students Competing Everywhere
Joryhebel Ginorio competed in the National Shakespeare Competition and placed first,
advancing her to the final round held at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
Bailey James recently traveled to Miami, Flordia to compete and praticpate among
hundreds of visual, literary and performing artist in the Young Arts Competition and Festival.
