Xello is an engaging, fun-to-use software that students can access online, at school or at home. Students can even access Xello from their mobile devices. Using Xello, students plan their journeys toward the future by creating their very own unique roadmap for future success.
The program is implemented through the GPISD Counseling Services Department at every secondary campus. The mission of the Counseling Service Department is to guide students to pursue their post-secondary opportunities after high school!

How Students Request Transcripts
Access the College Planning Tools
To begin with, go to College Planning from the Goals & Plans link in the top menu of on the Dashboard.
This page is a central hub to view all the applications you're tracking, and local scholarships available. Or check our the Knowledge Hub with topics to help you plan for college.
Create an Application to Track
Click Create Your First Application to choose the college you want to track your application with.
If this isn't your first one, this page will be a list of your previous applications.
Use the search bar to enter the school name and click Select, then click Next.
On the next page, add details such as your application Admission Type and Deadline. Then click Create to begin tracking your application for this college.
Send a Transcript
In the application tracker for the college, you'll see the Applications Checklist. Use this checklist to track the things you need to complete for the application.
From the list, where it says Transcript, click Request to request your high school send your transcript to the school.
If you don't see Transcript listed under the requirements, this college may not require it. You can still make a request by clicking Add Task and selecting Transcript.
View the Progress
View the status of your sent Transcript by opening the Application Tracker of the college you want to view.
From under Application Checklist, click the drop-down next to Transcript and select Track Transcript.
View the chronological updates of your transcript request.

Career Matchmaker
Students participate in an interactive assessment with situation-based questions. Their answers match them with careers that align to their passions and skills, engaging and exciting them in planning for the future.

Personality Style Assessment
Based on the Holland Model, the Personality Style assessment helps students better understand who they are and how that impacts their career matches.

Learning Style Assessment
By completing the Learning Styles Assessment, students discover how they learn best and are equipped with the tools and awareness to maximize their learning techniques.

After High School
Students begin by thinking about what they might want to do after high school – giving them a base to start from when planning their future.

Favorite Clusters
Viewing similar careers in favorite clusters helps inspire students and broadens their choices.

Experiences
With an interactive timeline, students track their accomplishments in life, education, work, and volunteer experiences, prompting them to reflect on and learn from their experiences.

Skills & Interests
Students identify and reflect on their skills and interests to learn how to apply them to their future.

Storyboard
Students collect and store in one place their favorites photos, videos, links, and files to express their personality, represent their story, and visually capture their goals.

Career Profiles
In-depth profiles contain a snapshot of a day in the life, workplace conditions, earnings, education and training, and similar careers. Vibrant photography and real-world interviews help students see themselves in their careers as they discover and explore.

School/Program Profiles
Post-secondary school options include two-year and four-year colleges, vocational training and military options. School profiles include information such as enrollment details, admission requirements, and tuition costs. Students can even take virtual tours using Street View with Google Maps.

Profiles of College Majors
Students can use information such as a description of the major, admission requirements, cost, similar majors, and links to schools that offer the major to plan their post-secondary path.

Electronic College and Career Portfolio
Students can save their favorite careers, schools, programs, or military options to Xello to create their personal online portfolio for future success. Students can revisit and revise their favorites at any time by accessing Xello.

Course Planner
GPISD students create their Personal Graduation Plans (PGPs) using Xello’s Course Planner. This allows students, parents, and school counselors to track students’ progress toward completing all graduation requirements including their endorsement as outlined by House Bill 5.

Electronic Transcripts
Students can use the electronic transcript tool in Xello to request copies of their transcripts to be sent to schools and programs of their choice.

Fully Integrated Lessons and Curriculum
Xello’s fully integrated lessons are interactive and help students in grades 6 to 12 build vital skills for persistence, resilience, and real-world success while encouraging ongoing reflection. The content and learning objectives in each lesson are relevant to the life decisions students face in their current grade level. From understanding how school subjects can be applied to work environments to choosing a college or university, students learn what they will need to be successful each year.
