New Student Online Enrollment

  • NOTE:  If you live outside the GPISD attendance zone, you must contact the campus you are interested in, fill out an application and submit the required documentation.  After you are approved to attend, you will fill out NSOE.  NSOE is the second of two parts of the application and enrollment process for our out-of-district students.

  • Welcome to Grand Prairie ISD; we are so excited for you to join us this year! Before starting registration please review the new student enrollment process and have the required documents (birth certificate, child’s social security card, immunization record, utility bill and copy of parent/guardian driver’s license) available, you will be able to upload them during the registration process. For more details about proof of residency, visit our proof of residency page.

    Note: Please fill out lunch application whether choosing in-person or virtual learning.

    You will have the option to choose Online Virtual Learning or In Person At School Learning during the enrollment process.

    When you are ready to enroll your new student, click ENROLL NOW to begin.

  • Please use New Student if your child meets any of the following criteria:

    • Family is new to Grand Prairie:
      • moved from another Texas school district
      • was homeschooled and is attending public school for the first time
      • coming from a private school or charter school
      • moved from a school district outside of Texas
    • The student attended GPISD in the past, withdrew and enrolled in a different school district and is coming back to GPISD for the 2020-2021 school year.
      Parents/Guardians will be able to use their Family Access credentials to submit NSOE by selecting ‘Enrollment Access’ from the bottom of the login page.
    • Parent has a student(s) active in GPISD and is enrolling a new student
      Parents/Guardians will be able to use their Family Access credentials to submit NSOE by selecting ‘Enrollment Access’ from the bottom of the login page

  • New Student Enrollment Process

    Parent completes the New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) below.

    Parent will be able to upload documents on NSOE. Parents could also take a picture of documents and send to registration email (registration@gpisd.org) or PEIMS will get in contact with parent with any issues.  The documents that the parent will need to upload are:

    • Birth Certificate
    • Parent/Guardian Driver’s License
    • Proof of Residence
    • Shot Records
    • Student’s Social Security Card
    • Withdrawal Records from Prior School (if you have them)


    Once the NSOE process is completed District Registration personnel will process the application and assign the student to the zoned campus.

    The appropriate school personnel will be notified of the new student through an automated enrollment email; the school will complete the enrollment process (scheduling, contact new teacher, etc.)

    The process for device distribution is currently under development and will be forthcoming.

    How to Scan Documents from Your Phone

    iPhone

    • open Notes and tap the camera button. You will be prompted to Scan a Document or Take a Photo or Video.
    • Choose Scan Document, lay out the documents that you want to scan, and it will save them as a PDF


    Android

    • Open the Google Drive app
    • In the bottom right, tap Add
    • Tap Scan
    • Take a photo of the document you'd like to scan. Adjust scan area: Tap Crop. Take photo again: tap re-scan current page. Scan another page: tap Add
    • To save the finished document, tap Done

     


    El padre de familia seguirá los pasos indicados abajo para completar la Inscripción Online de un Estudiante Nuevo (NSOE por sus siglas en inglés).

    Durante el procedimiento NSOE, podrán subir documentos. Los padres también tienen la opción de tomar fotos de los documentos y enviarlas al email para registración  (registration@gpisd.org), o PEIMS se comunicará con los padres para ayudarlos a solucionar dificultades. Los documentos que deben ser subidos son los siguientes:

    • Acta de nacimiento
    • Licencia de manejar del padre o tutor legal
    • Comprobante de domicilio
    • Historial de vacunas
    • Tarjeta de Seguro Social del estudiante
    • Récord de Dar de Baja de la Escuela Previa (si están disponibles)


    Cuando se haya completado el proceso NSOE, personal del distrito tramitará la solicitud y colocará al estudiante en la escuela indicada para su zona.

    Un email automatizado informará al personal de la escuela sobre la registración de un estudiante nuevo; la escuela completará el proceso de inscripción (formular horario de clases, notificar a los maestros nuevos, etc.).

    El proceso para distribuir dispositivos está en la etapa de desarrollo, y será presentado en el futuro.

    Cómo Escanear Documentos con el Celular

    iPhone

    • Abra Notes, pulsando el botón para la cámara. Usted verá un mensaje escanear un documento (Scan a Document) o tomar una foto o video (Take a Photo or Video).
    • Elija Scan Document y acomode los documentos que desea escanear; serán archivados en el formato de PDF.


    Android

    • Abra la app Google Drive
    • En el lado derecho inferior, pulse Add
    • Pulse Scan
    • Tome una foto del documento que usted desea escanear. Ajuste el área de la imagen pulsando Crop. Tome la foto de nuevo; pulse Re-scan Current Page. Para escanear otra página, pulse
    • Para ahorrar el documento completado, pulse Done
