Summer Enrichment Program

  • Bilingual/ESL Programs in Grand Prairie ISD is offering a variety of summer enrichment opportunities this year. All sessions will take place at Travis World Language Academy, located at 525 NE 15th St., Grand Prairie, TX. If you have not already done so, we invite you to register now. We would love to have your child with us this summer!

    The enrichment sessions will take place Monday through Thursday, June 1-28. We begin at 8:00 every morning and end at 3:35 in the afternoon. Here is a description of each of our summer offerings, along with email and phone information of Bilingual/ESL staff:  

    The programs offered include:

    Kindergarten-1st Grade ELL Summer Enrichment Program

    • K-1 Summer Program Students who will be entering kindergarten and first grade in the fall will receive language-rich, TEKS-focused instruction in this program of accelerated instruction. For information, email Ana.Sierra@gpisd.org or call her at 972.522.3142.

    3rd and 4th Grade Language & Literacy Academy

    American Indian Summer Enrichment Program

    • American Indian Summer Enrichment Program: This program addresses unique academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students in a culturally informed context.     Secondary Summer Bridge Language Academy

    • Summer Bridge Language Academy is designed to increase the English proficiency of English Language Learners for current 8th grade students entering high school in the fall.     Secondary Summer Language Academy for EL Students

    • Summer Language Academy is designed to increase the English proficiency of English Language Learners currently enrolled in grades 6-11.
