The teacher will…
- provide instruction, learning resources, and support using Google Classroom (elementary) or Canvas (secondary)
- utilize the same curriculum as students who attend face-to-face instruction
- design strategies for learning in the remote environment
- grade students consistent with the guidelines and practices used in all face-to-face instruction
The student will…- be able to participate in on-campus sessions for extracurricular activities, in accordance with UIL requirements (further details are forthcoming)
- be able to access instruction in both synchronous and asynchronous formats each day
- be marked present or absent based on daily participation in either live course sessions or submission of asynchronous coursework (daily attendance will be monitored)
The district/campus will…- schedule students into the courses that were selected in the Spring of 2020
- provide technology resources for students needing Wi-Fi access
- create on-campus instructional opportunities for courses that cannot be reasonably completed remotely, e.g., automotive technology, construction trades, etc. (details are being finalized)
- support teachers in developing engaging lessons that are easily transferable to both modes of instruction
The parent will…- support their students to ensure they have access to their GPISD issued device, a place to work, and are engaged daily in virtual learning activities
