Garcia is a dual-language campus that fosters the acquisition and usage of a second language. Students use technology daily to inquire and communicate their new learning in a setting that will develop the whole child: mentally, socio-emotionally and physically.

Here at Hector P. Garcia, we provide every student with the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, online learning and collaborative STEM learning. At Garcia our dedicated staff is always seeking ways to help our students improve academically and equipping them with the tools to succeed.

Curriculum Offerings
Gifted and Talented
Curriculum units at this level are interdisciplinary and based on broad themes. The units capture the high levels of achievement that GT students can exhibit. They incorporate logical critical and creative thinking skills into the core academic areas of math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. Independent research opportunities allow students to investigate specific topics of interest and to develop sophisticated products.

Bilingual/ESL/Dual Language
Bilingual classes are available at every grade level in our school, following the Gomez and Gomez model.

Kindness Crew
We promote kindness and compassion for all students at our school. As part of the kindness crew, students help with activities and events for our campus like kindness challenges, bully prevention activities, community service projects, career day, and welcome new students. To our campus.
Pep squad
Our pep squad is a school spirit organization with the purpose of promoting school spirit by participating at events. As recognized school leaders, Pep Squad members are expected to be positive role models at school and in their community.
Green and Clean Team
We provide a club where students can learn the importance on how we can keep Garcia Elementary and our community looking beautiful.
STEM Program
This program provides our students with the opportunity to engage in the engineering design process.
