About Our School
-
Pre-K – 5 | Choice
Marshall Leadership Academy provides an environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes leadership skills and positive character traits. Students experience leadership by participating in one of eight vertically aligned student staff groups, known as houses, from prekindergarten through fifth grade. In addition to working together during the week to carry out important tasks in the daily operation of the school, these houses have a weekly rally on Fridays. Students are recognized and celebrated through a point system based on tickets received during the week. Among the many topics that are covered weekly are manners, introductions, organization, character traits, and goals. Marshall works to produce students who not only achieve academically but are prepared to achieve in life.
We empower students with the academic skills and leadership skills for present success. Our curriculum incorporates the 7 habits of highly effective leaders by the Franklin Covey Foundation. The Academic curriculum offers all courses required by the State of Texas for the mastery of standards for each grade level. We are also recognized by TEA and Chracter.org as a National School of Character.

Leadership through Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Happy Kids
- The Seven Habits are:
- Be Proactive
- Begin with the End in Mind
- Put First Things First
- Think Win-Win
- Seek First to Understand Then to be Understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the Saw
- These habits are taught several times a week during a leadership block in the morning.
- The 7 Habits are integrated into lessons, discipline, and our House System.
- Students are taught to set goals in their personal lives and academics.
